At FuelBag, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting any information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains our data collection, usage, storage, and protection practices.
1. Information We Collect
- Vehicle and Trip Data: Vehicle details such as vehicle type, make, model, tank capacity, fuel average, and saved trip calculations may be stored locally on your device. FuelBag does not upload this information to its servers unless a future feature clearly requests your consent.
- Google Account Information: When you choose Google Sign-In, Google may share your name, email address, profile picture, Google account identifier, and an authentication token with FuelBag. This information is used to verify your sign-in and maintain your authenticated session.
- Device and Technical Information: FuelBag may process basic technical information required for application security, compatibility, crash prevention, and reliable delivery of app features.
- Analytics and Advertising: The current version of FuelBag does not include a third-party analytics or advertising SDK. This policy will be updated before such services are introduced.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use Google account information to authenticate your session and provide account-required features. Vehicle and trip data is used on your device to calculate estimated trip costs, fuel consumption, vehicle efficiency, and related summaries.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
3. Live Price Feeds
Fuel rates and oil-company information may be retrieved from the FuelBag API, which compiles information from public oil-company and government sources. Fuel-price requests do not need to include your Google profile, vehicle details, or saved trip data.
4. Stored Route Data
FuelBag may use stored location names, route records, and distance information to calculate estimated travel costs. Route requests may include selected origin and destination identifiers. They are not intended to include your Google account profile or locally saved vehicle history.
5. Location Information
FuelBag may ask for location permission when a feature requires your current position, such as selecting a nearby starting point. Location access is optional unless the relevant feature cannot operate without it.
FuelBag does not continuously track your location in the background unless a future feature explicitly requests permission and clearly explains its purpose.
6. Data Storage and Security
Locally saved vehicle, preference, and trip information remains on your device unless you remove it, clear the app's storage, or uninstall FuelBag. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards for information handled by the FuelBag API.
No digital storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should protect access to your Google account and mobile device.
7. Data Sharing
FuelBag does not sell your personal data. Information may be shared only when necessary to provide a service you request, comply with applicable law, investigate abuse or security incidents, or protect FuelBag and its users.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
Locally stored data can generally be removed by deleting saved records, clearing FuelBag's application data, or uninstalling the app. Authentication information is retained only as needed to keep you signed in and provide account functionality.

9. Children's Privacy
FuelBag is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children under the minimum age required by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so the matter can be reviewed.
10. Third-Party Services
FuelBag may rely on services such as Google Sign-In, map or routing providers, hosting infrastructure, and public fuel-price sources. Their handling of information is governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when FuelBag features, legal requirements, or data practices change. The revised effective date will be displayed at the top of this page. Material changes may also be communicated inside the app.
